History

Although serigraphy and lithography may seem like twentieth-century ideas, both are very traditional art processes steeped in centuries of history and enjoy the elite patronage of many of the world's greatest artists and collectors. Serigraphy and lithography were enthusiastically embraced by the masters; Vincent van Gogh, Paul Gauguin, Auguste Renoir, Pablo Picasso, Francisco de Goya, Eugene Delacroix, Honore Daumier, Edouard Manet, Camille Pissarro, Edgar Degas, Paul Cezanne, and Henri Matisse were but a few who valued the processes and contributed to elevating the standard of print quality. In fact, almost every major artist throughout history has experimented with at least one of the two processes. It is interesting to note that, with minor exceptions, the basic processes have remained nearly the same from their invention to their present day use.
