Keep an eye out for insects. The presence of these creatures often times is an indicator of environmental problems such as high humidity and/or poor housekeeping. Exposure to high levels of heat, humidity, light and dirt degrade paper more quickly than paper stored in a cool, dry, dark and clean environment. Remember damage to artwork is cumulative.
